International Lasallian Days for Peace 2017

DLSU-D is one with the International Lasallian Family in celebrating this year’s International Lasallian Days for Peace (ILDP 2017) with the theme: “Peace Without Limits” from September 21 to October 21, 2017.

Through the Lasallian Community Development Center (LCDC), DLSU-D will ensure that the University's activities on the promotion of peace will be marked by an awareness of the theme that the celebration has. The activities will further affirm that "Peace is without Limits" and we are “Lasallians Without Limits.”

Below is the message of Mr. Keane Palatino, Coordinator of the International Council of Young Lasallians based at the Generalate of the De La Salle Brothers in Rome. The Council has been spearheading this celebration now on its 11th year:

Dear Young Lasallians,

Greetings from Rome! I hope this message finds you well :)

The time of the year has once again come and we are set to celebrate the 11th International Lasallian Days for Peace (ILDP) from 21 September to 21 October 2017! This year’s theme, Peace without Limits, invites us to find ways of advocating for peace amidst the diverse world we live in today — how do we go out of our comfort zones and continue to become signs of hope to the last, the lost and the least? How do we become peace-builders and make more meaningful our engagement to the Lasallian Mission?

During this month, we encourage participation from Young Lasallian individuals, groups and Institutions. Please share the stories and projects (kindly include a brief description and photos of the activity) happening in your part of the world and send them to Nikki Chan (nikkichan.dls@gmail.com), a Young Lasallian from Hong Kong. She will help us put in a google map all the ILDP initiatives happening across the Institute.

Thank you very much for all that you have planned and all that you continue to do.

Live Jesus in our hearts, forever!

Keane
