DLSU-D explores partnerships with Qilu Normal University, Thomson Reuters Manila

Thomson Reuters and Qilu Normal University

De La Salle University-Dasmariñas recently met with representatives of Qilu Normal University and Thomson Reuters Manila to explore partnership opportunities.

Representatives of Qilu Normal University, Shandong including its Vice President Liu Dezeng, Dean of College of Life Sciences Li Shipeng, Dean of the College of Physics and Electronic Engineering Yu Yuanxun and Internal Linkage Office representative Tian Tian met with DLSU-D officers including Vice Chancellor for Mission, External Affairs and Advancement Myrna F. Ramos, EdD; Johnny A. Ching , PhD, Dean of the College of Science and Computer Studies; Dr. Ruby Causaren, Director of the Graduate Studies for the College of Science & Computer Studies; Engr. Wilfredo G. Vidal, OIC, Engineering Department; Wilson R. Jacinto, Director of the University Linkages Office and Dr. Vangie B. Montillano, Coordinator of University Linkages Office for a visit to the University.

During the visit, officials of both universities discussed possible degree programs, in particular, master’s degrees and/or 2+2 programs. They also endorsed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions.

Meanwhile, Marjorie Carbonell, HR Business Partner and Kervin Bayangos, Senior HR Advisor of Thomson Reuters Manila also visited the University for a partnership between the organization and DLSU-D. Representatives of Thomson Reuters met with Alice D. Descallar, Chair, Business Management Department and Committee Head of Internship; Leo D. Manansala, Director, Alumni Relations and Placement Office; Brenda F. Martinez, Faculty of the Communications and Journalism Department; Eden C. Cabrera, Chair of the Accountancy Department; Wilson R. Jacinto, Director, University Linkages Office and Dr. Vangie B. Montillano, Coordinator of University Linkages Office to explore a partnership with University for internship and placement.
