DLSU-D team to represent RP in global tilt
 

Graduating students from DLSU-D have triumphed in the recently concluded 2012 CIMA Global Business Challenge at the Century Park Hotel in Manila and are set to represent the country in the Global Finals.

The Patriots, a team composed of four graduating BS in Accountancy students -- Jane Charmane D. Ariola, Joe Marie T. Francisco, Nickol Argel G. Salazar and Francis Kim G. Torres,

mentored by Prof. Mary May C. Eulogio took home the title of Grand Champion and also won an all expense paid trips to Colombo, Sri Lanka to represent the Philippines in the finals on July 21 to 25, 2012.

The team won over strong competition from five other Philippine finalists: DLSU Manila’s “Green Archers” (1st Runner Up), UP Visayas’ “Scions Consulting” (2nd Runner Up), De La Salle Lipa’s “Team Maven”, University of San Carlos’ “Team Prism”, and the team from University of Cebu, Lapu-lapu and Mandaue.

The 2012 CIMA Global Business Challenge (Philippines) is a joint collaboration among three professional organizations and two major corporate sponsors, namely: the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), the Association of CPAs in Commerce and Industry (ACPACI), the Philippine Duplicators, Inc. (an exclusive concessionaire for Gestetner copiers), and Barclays, Plc (London, UK).
