BS in MEDICAL BIOLOGY (Straight MD Program)
curriculum
The BS in Medical Biology (straight MD program) is a new program under the BSD designed to offer a more functional curriculum as preparatory to medicine, and in the process, an easy route for admission to the College of Medicine at DLS-Health Sciences Institute (HSI).
The first two years of the program is patterned from the BS Biology major in Human Biology, which is semestral, with some additional major courses on the third year. The senior year of the students will be carried out at the College of Medicine at DLS-HSI, which will also be credited as their first year in the medical school. Thus, the subjects that the students will be taking are first year proper medicine subjects.
The curriculum was designed, which, other than serving its purpose, also accords to CHED CMO 24 series of 2005 for the degree of BS Biology.
