In 1994, the Bachelor of Hotel and Restaurant Management was still under the College of Business Administration . By then, students of the course were members of the JM@, an organization under the MarketingDepartment. Later in 1996, an organization for the students of Hotel and Restaurant Management spearheaded by Neil Navales as the founding President, with Mrs. Cristina Dela Cruz as the HRMS Adviser. Mrs. Dela Cruz eventually became the Chair ; consequently, Ms. Aloida M. Par took the position as the new adviser. The organization pursued its objectives in the subsequent years with the following officers: Mar Aytona (1997), Florante Gerona (1998), Edmon Mercado (1999), Marie Paz Camama (2000), Gemini Salasdo (2001), Pinky Rose Malibiran (2002), Richelle Angela Santos (2004), Jan Michelle Callueng (2005), and Sergio Tianzon III (2006).
The primary objective of the Hotel and Restaurant Management Society is to entice more students to join in order for them to be more exposed, more aware, and more informed about the Hospitality Industry, particularly the Hotel and Restaurant operations. Furthermore, the Society envisions students who would be more competitive in their chosen craft.
Also, Hotel and Restaurant Management Society has intensified the launched activities, programs, seminars, training and other projects aimed for the student development. Moreover, one of its most important projects was the I.D. discount card exclusively for the members with its increasing number of participating sponsors every year.
Truly, the Society devotes all effort with the College of International Hospitality Management to produce students who manifest competitive advantage, efficient work, and good working and human relation skills.
The Hotel and Restaurant Management Society devotes itself to the following objectives:
- To represent and protect the interest of its members at all times;
- To encourage students to participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities;
