Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Business Economics

The program provides students with relevant opportunities to learn key economic theories and models, as well as analytical tools, in order to build critical thinking skills. The curriculum focuses on microeconomics and macroeconomics, covering specific topics in investment, banking, development planning, and business processes, while fostering a wider understanding of the factors that affect business decisions across all functional areas to achieve efficiency.

Business economics is more normative than descriptive in nature, with a view to prescribing policies for business managers aiming to achieve their objectives. Through this program, students enhance their skills in data acquisition and statistical analysis techniques, critical thinking, research and report writing, software competency, and the ability to analyze business behaviors alongside microeconomic and macroeconomic trends.

Moreover, the program prepares students to harness their potential and become fully equipped with 21st-century skills that emphasize quantitative research, building strong foundations not only in business and economic analysis but also in statistics, econometrics, and mathematics. These quantitative tools are essential components that hone students for sound decision-making in business, across both the private and public sectors. The program culminates in a thesis worthy of publication and/or conference paper presentation in local and/or international fora.
