
BROTHER AUGUSTINE BOQUER FSC, EdD
Br. Augustine Boquer, FSC, EdD is the current president and chancellor of De La Salle University-Dasmariñas and De La Salle-Health and Sciences Institute.
Br. Gus, as he is known to the DLSU-D community charted the 14-point agenda which steers the path for the University in meeting its commitment to world class education with a strong foundation of faith and compassion, social consciousness, community involvement, research development, and enterprise building. The agenda also underscores the University’s commitment to sustainability as part of being Lasallian.
Under his leadership, the Brother President has spearheaded many major projects such as the Bahay Pag-asa for children in conflict with the law, the De La Salle University – Dasmariñas Retreat and Conference Center, American Studies Resource Center and De La Salle University-Dasmariñas High School Complex, among other infrastructure projects within campus. He was also at the forefront of the creation of Cavite Research Development Program, a research project that seeks to help policy development in the province of Cavite covering different facets from agriculture, urban systems, environment management, and housing.
Br. Gus also enhanced programs on scholarship and sustainability under which DLSU-D ranked 78 in the world and #1 in the Philippines further strengthening the University’s position as one of the best schools in the country, and in the world.
