Humans of St. La Salle

April 7, 2019 marks the 300th anniversary of St. John Baptist De La Salle's completion of his earthly journey (April 30, 1651—April 7, 1719). To celebrate this historic milestone, DLSU-D will hold the ANIMOSAIC 2: Humans of St. La Salle Project, a Record Attempt for a cause that aims to unite the entire Lasallian community to form a beautiful and well-executed image of the Holy Founder.

The ANIMOSAIC is a reminder of how St. La Salle has made an impact in the education sector today and is an invitation for us to live out the Lasallian vocation. The Registration Fee (Jubilee Gift) of ₱300 (Three Hundred Pesos) will provide each participant a ticket to attend the Tercentenary show, a souvenir umbrella to be used for the Human Formation and a donation to the One La Salle Scholarship Endowment Fund.

According to project convenor Marco M. Polo, the activity also aims to develop a deeper appreciation of St. La Salle's legacy of making education an opportunity for salvation for young people, especially those who are at risk.

"Most importantly, the activity seeks to explore what it means to be the face of St. La Salle today and, in the process, live out each vocation as a Lasallian," he said.

The event is set to take place at the DLSU-D track oval, where DLSU-D first made history with the 10,000-strong Human Lasallian Star in 2009.
