DLSU-D and PRRM Hold Media Literacy Forum for Young Voters
October 21, 2026
MILolo Mon shared practical insights on media and information literacy, including ways to manage information overload, during the Media and Digital Literacy for Young Voters forum organized by De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) and the Philippine Rural Reconstruction Movement (PRRM) on Saturday, October 17, at the DLSU-D Retreat and Conference Center.
The forum highlighted the importance of helping young voters assess the information they encounter, particularly on social media, as the elections approach.
Media and information literacy helps voters distinguish reliable information from misleading or inaccurate content. With large volumes of information circulating online, young voters need to evaluate sources carefully before accepting or sharing claims that could influence their electoral decisions.
The DLSU-D and PRRM initiative encouraged young people to think critically about the information they consume and use that discernment when making choices at the polls.
