DLSU-D Participates in Fourth Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill
November 6, 2026
De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) conducted a campus-wide emergency preparedness exercise on November 5 as part of the 4th Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED), involving faculty members, staff, students, and office personnel.
The drill tested the campus community's ability to respond to a simulated earthquake through established safety and evacuation procedures. The activity was conducted in compliance with directives from the Department of National Defense (DND) and the Department of Education (DepEd).
A 60-second alarm signaled the start of the simulation, prompting participants to perform the standard “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure in their respective locations. Following the exercise, participants proceeded in an orderly manner to designated assembly areas.
To simulate actual emergency conditions, the University temporarily closed campus gates and suspended elevator operations. Emergency response assets, including a Patient Transport Vehicle (PTV) and a fire truck, were also strategically deployed across the campus.
