Br. Edmundo Fernandez FSC

Br. Edmundo "Dodo" Fernandez FSC is a professional artist who embraced the De La Salle Brothers' vocation and continues to spread his passion, skills, and experience for the benefit of many through his multiple roles within and beyond the De La Salle System. 

Br. Dodo is the current president of De La Salle Lipa, De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, La Salle Green Hills, and DLSP - NYEL. He also serves as director for the Academy of St. John in Gen. Trias, Cavite and St. Francis Academy in Dasmariiias, Cavite. In 2021, he was appointed as the President of the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU). 

As part of the De La Salle Brothers, Br. Dodo holds many responsibilities. He serves as superintendent of DLSP Schools. He is a member of the De La Salle Brothers Inc. Board of Trustees and the District Council, Philippines. He is also the director of the Lasallian Formation Center, which is in charge of the formation of Postulants and Scholastics. He also served as Chair of the De La Salle Brothers, Pacific-Asia Regional Conference, Lasallian Services Commission from 2004 to 2005 and was a member from 2000-2003. 

Some of his past assignments include the chairmanship of the 9th National Lasallian Youth Congress La Salle Green Hills in 1997. He also headed the Philippine Delegation to the 4th Asia-Pacific Lasallian Youth Congress in 1996 and participated as a delegate in the 3rd Asia Pacific Educator's Congress in Singapore. 

Before he joined the De La Salle Brothers, he was a professional artist who exhibited a number of group shows with fellow artists from the University of the Philippines. He also took on commissioned work and accepted book design cover and layout projects. He shared his talents to others by holding workshops for children. 

Nowadays, Br. Dodo still finds time for his artistic pursuits by doing one-man shows like the "Drawings" I Finale Art File in 2021; "Suspended" I Finale Art File in 2011; "Collages" I Sining Kamalig in 1986; Artist Residencies for Shiro Oni Studio in Japan in 2019, and DRAWinternational in Caylus, France in 2019. He also had a show in Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, Vermont in 2010.
