Dr. Maria Arlene Aurelia Abella-Sauña

Dr. Maria Arlene Aurelia S. Abella-Sauña is a medical doctor specialized in dermatology with a career spanning close to 40 years. 

Dr. Abella-Sauña currently holds an active clinical and dermatologic surgery practice in Imus Cavite, Makati, and a medical group laser practice in Pasig City. She is a consultant for the Ospital ng Makati outpatient department under the supervision of the Skin and Cancer Foundation Inc. 

Over the years, Dr. Abella-Sauña's experience and expertise from her field of specialization earned her the respect and admiration of her peers. She is a fellow of good standing of the Philippine Dermatological Society (PDS) since 1987. She also served as PDS Board of Director from 1997- 1998, and PDS Board Examiner Practicals from 2006 to 2012. In 2002, she was the overall chair of the 50th Founding Anniversary of the PDS held in November 2002. 

From 2011 to 2012, she was the President of the PDS South Luzon Chapter. She holds the position of Vice Chair of the Legislative Affairs Committee until now. 

Apart from these affiliations, Dr. Abella-Sauña is an Associate Clinical Professor of the Skin and Cancer Foundation Inc., a Founding Member and Fellow of the Philippine Academy of Cutaneous Surgery; Life member of the Philippine Medical Association; Life member of the Cavite Medical Society; International Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and Associate Member of the International Society of Dermatology
