Father Aristotle Dy, SJ, PhD

Father Aristotle C. Dy, SJ, PhD, is the President of Ateneo de Naga University. He also chairs the Society of Jesus Education Apostolate (SJEA) and the Jesuit Higher Education Commission for the Jesuits in the Philippines and serves as National Executive Secretary of the Filipino Chinese Apostolate. Fr. Dy has a PhD in the study of religion from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. 

He is a well-known book author, penning Chinese Buddhism in Catholic Philippines: Syncretism as Identity; Weaving a Dream, Reflections for Chinese Filipino Catholics Today, 2000; and Building a Bridge, Catholic Christianity Meets Chinese Filipino Culture, 2005. 

He was also the editor of several books including With New Eyes, the World as Seen by Preachers of the Word in 2001; Chinese Filipinos in 2003; Spirit of the Place, an Anthology to Mark the 70th Anniversary of Sacred Heart Novitiate in 2002, Sunday for Skeptics, The Homilies in 2003, and The Pilgrim and the Sage, 2019.
