Mr. Jose Jerome "Jeng" Pascual III

Mr. Jose Jerome Pascual III, or "Jeng” as known to his friends and colleagues, currently serves as a member of the Advisory Council of Prime Energy Resources Development BV (formerly Shell Philippines Exploration BV) and is an Independent Director on the Board of Mitsubishi Motors Finance Philippines Inc., where he chairs the Corporate Governance Committee. 

He was the former Chief Financial Officer, Vice President-Finance & Treasurer, and Chief Risk Officer of Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation, and former Chairman of the Shell Philippines pension funds. He was also formerly an Independent Director on the Philippine Dealing System (PDS) Group boards and chaired the PDS Audit Committee. 

He is presently a Trustee on the boards of De La Salle University – Dasmariñas, La Salle Green Hills, FINEX Foundation, FINEX Academy, UP Engineering Research & Development Foundation, Inc. (UPERDFI), and Capital Markets Development Foundation. He is also an Independent Consultant and Executive Coach. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of the Philippines (Diliman) in 1986 and completed the Shell Group Business Leadership Program/Executive MBA at INSEAD Singapore in 2005. He holds accreditations for a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Professional Industrial Engineer (PIE). He is also an Associate Level Coach accredited by the International Coaching Federation. 

During his 35-year career in Shell, he held numerous Finance and non-finance roles in the Downstream and Upstream businesses, including international assignments in operated and non-operated joint ventures in the Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Russia, and Brunei, Regional Treasurer for Asia-Pacific, and CFO of a publicly listed company, Pilipinas Shell. He also served as director on the boards of various Shell Group companies and joint ventures operating in the Philippines, Brunei, and Palau. 

He served as the President of the Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (FINEX) in 2020, Chairman of the FINEX Research & Development Foundation in 2021, and Chairman of the FINEX Academy in 2022. He is also President and co-incorporator of the Justice Reform Initiative and Treasurer of the Integrity Initiative. 

In 2014, he was awarded CFO of the Year by ING Bank (Philippines) and FINEX. In 2015, he was recognized as a distinguished alumnus of the University of the Philippines Alumni Engineers, receiving the Professional Degree Award for Industrial Engineering. In 2017, he was conferred the Global Management Accounting Hall of Fame Award by the Institute of Certified Management Accountants (Australia) in recognition of his outstanding contribution, lifetime of achievement, and services to the management accounting profession in the country. 

Jeng is happily married with two grown-up children - a son and a daughter. He is a gadget person and makes it a point to be up to date with the latest tech, recently delving into GenAI and 3D printing as a hobby. He walks 15k steps every day to keep fit, plays golf, volleyball, and badminton, and likes singing and dancing. He occasionally bakes bread and enjoys traveling and watching movies in cosplay with his wife.
