The Lasallian Community Development Center will hold the Charter Change and Federalism Education Forum on March 15, 2018 from 1-5 pm at the Alumni Auditorium.
This forum intends to provide students, faculty, and staff with a platform to engage themselves in an informal conversation about charter change and federal form of government as to encourage them to get involved actively in an open discussion on the necessity, advantages and disadvantages of amending the 1987 Constitution and the shifting of the present Presidential form of government to a federal form.
The forum is expected to broaden the participants’ knowledge and awareness on the issues and the implications and complexities of different proposals pertinent to charter change and federalism. It is also expected that this forum will become a means to infuse the agenda and quest for critical thinking and active participation in nation building in the academic formative years of students to make them well informed and patriotic citizens.
