Students from DLSU-D's Broadcast Journalism program were recently crowned the champions in Knowledge Channel’s Inter Collegiate Mini Documentary Competition.
The team from DLSU-D who made up Pugay Kamay Productions -- Neil Angelo B. Aala, Bryan Ellis D.L. Castillo, John Steven L. Custodio, Ynna Marielle S. De Guzman and Naomi Lane T. Tiburcio, were adjudged as the best among the contenders who submitted documentaries to the competition.
The group’s documentary, which they originally submitted for their final output in their Documentary Productions subject was entitled “Lupang Pinangako: Mga Rizalista ng Ronggot.” The film talked about the Rizalistas of Calamba, and how they view national hero Jose P. Rizal as more than a hero, but a figure of faith.
The Broad Journ students received their award during the Pinoy Media Congress 2018 at the College of the Holy Spirit in Mendiola, Manila.
