The Aklatang Emilio Aguinaldo - Information Resource Center (AEA-IRC) joins the nationwide Library and Information Services (LIS) month celebration with the theme "Ang Kulturang may Malasakit, sa Silid-Aklatan ay Makakamit" from November 19, 27-29, 2018.
The primary goal of the LIS celebration is to promote library collection, services and facilities through various collaborative activities. The celebration also seeks to showcase classical Philippine movies through film showing and highlight local studies by featuring young literary Cavite writers.
Apart from these, the LIS Month is an avenue to promote the BSP Knowledge Resource Network and the importance of intellectual property rights to faculty members and students. Finally, it recognizes the contributions of various colleges in the utilization of library resources.
As part of the celebration, AEA-IRC will have an opening ceremony for an exhibit and a film screening on the first day (November 19) at the Learning Commons. The film screening is also part of the Sandaan sa Luzon Film Expedition hosted by DLSU-D which celebrates 100 years of Philippine cinema.
