The Lasallian Community Development Center (LCDC) recently conducted its successful Animo! Boluntir Ako! (ABA!) seminar attended by aspiring volunteers from different sectors of DLSU-D. The seminar, designed to foster appreciation for selfless volunteerism and encourage Lasallians to partake in the Lasallian vision for social transformation, was attended by 146 students, parents, faculty and staff.
The workshop discussed volunteerism in the context of a Lasallian mission as well as presented participants with activities, programs and projects of LCDC, and Lasallian Volunteer Program (LSVP). Students, employees, and graduates expressed interest in volunteering for these programs to become partners or agents of social change.
Among the facilitators and resource speakers for the event were LCDC Director Maria Nena C. Caspe, De La Salle Brothers-Philippines National Director Br. Edgar Esparagoza, FSC, former Lasallian volunteer Elizabeth Atienza and Lanie R. Barrera, and LCDC Coordinator Jhelyn A. Relopez.
