The Lasallian Community Development Center spearheaded the celebration of Children’s Month 2019 with the theme: “Karapatang Pambata: Patuloy na Pahalagahan at Gampanan Tungo sa Magandang Kinabukasan (Children’s Rights: Uphold, Respect, and Fulfill to a Better Future).”
In an event held at the Dasmariñas Integrated High School last November 23, the LCDC partnered with the City Social Welfare and Development Office to provide face painting services and lead art activities for 500 kids including Day Care Children, Children from Bahay Tuluyan, PYAP, Bahay Kalinga/Bahay Pag-asa, Street Children, SPED Students, Child Representatives, as well as Student Supreme Government representatives. SERVE volunteers were also on hand to help out during the activity.
Tagumpay Tapawan, Committee Chairman on Women and Family, shared her inspirational message at the event while City Mayor Jennifer Barzaga delivered the State of the Children Address.
