Communication Arts students recently bagged several awards at the "CineMandirigma 2019: We Are Juan" awards held at the University of the East Caloocan.

The team from DLSU-D bagged awards including Best Short Film, Best Actress, Best Story line, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, and Best Director for their film “Kalakalaro.” The film tackled the life of a young boy as he struggles to survive normally in spite of his poverty.
