
The Cavite Studies Center of DLSU-D and CLSU-Nueva Ecija are teaming up to conduct “Leadership and Gender: The Saga of the First Philippine Republic,” a national conference to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo and the 123rd anniversary of the “Unang Sigaw ng Nueva Ecija.”
The event, held in cooperation with the National Historical Commission of the Philippines, National Commission for Culture and the Arts, Kapisanan ng mga Bahay-Saliksikan sa Bansa (KABANSA), Inc., the Office of the Provincial Governor of Nueva Ecija, 2nd District of Nueva Ecija and the Cavite Historical Society, Inc., seeks to relive the glorious, dramatic, noble, and enduring epic of our Revolution leading to the birth of the First Philippine Republic.
The conference also seeks to delve deeper into the initiatives of the first eight provinces and its role in finding cohesion to articulate our national identity.
The event will be held from September 11-13, 2019 at the RET Theater of the Central Luzon State University.
