Lasallian student organizations continued with their fundraising drive to support frontliners in the ongoing fight against COVID-19. This time around, members of the De La Salle University - Dasmariñas Visual and Performing Arts Production Unit (VPAPU) focused their support to frontliners of the Brigada Eskwela campaign.
With the new normal of education entailing a shift to modular and distance learning strategies as the threat of COVID-19 remains, teachers and school administrators still remain in the frontlines to accept enrollees and distribute modules that will be used by the students for the upcoming school year.
VPAPU donated 250 pcs. of face shields, 100 pcs of non woven masks, and 13 pcs. of PPE suits to the Department of Education- City Schools Dvision of Dasmariñas recently. They also turned over 150pcs face shields and 50 pcs of non woven face masks to the Dasmariñas Elementary School.
Tatiao Elementary School in Silamg also received 150 DIY face shields and 50pcs. of non woven face masks while Burol Elementary School benefitted from 200 face shields. The VPAPU is currently coordinating with other schools in Cavite to spread the program to even more beneficiaries.
The Brigada Eskwela drive is a continuation of the fund drive initiated by VPAPU for medical frontliners and communities in need. For the current program, the org has collected an estimated Php50,000.
