De La Salle University-Dasmariñas High School students will learn about a significant part of Philippine history with the “Pagtanaw at Pananaw sa Martial Law: Pagpapahalaga sa Karapatang Pantao at Demokrasya.”
This asynchronous module seeks to help students understand and appreciate the importance of defending and promoting human rights and democracy at their own contemporary times.
“The remembrance of the victims of Martial Law years every 21st of September is a potential backgrounder and context in the promotion of the Lasallian advocacy for Good Governance and Participatory Democracy. Remembering the dark moments of Martial Law can provide windows in seeing through history lessons for the need to protect and promote human rights and democracy,” the course description stated.
The course will be available from September 14-22, 2020.
