De La Salle University-Dasmariñas students bagged the top honors for the recently concluded PANAnaw awards conducted by the Philippine Association of National Advertisers (PANA).
The team from the College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) students composed of Camille Joeyce Querubin(MKA32), Hendelle Mari Janiola(MKA33) , Erica Soldevilla(BOM35) , Dae Flores (MKA32) and College of Science student Christian May Toledo (BIT34) emerged as the champion for their entry, SMart. SMooth. SMile. #SMallthings matter campaign. The team was mentored by CBAA Faculty Michael Del Rosario and got support from Marketing alumni Isabel Maca, Carlo Lagarnia and Erwin Gaa.
Meanwhile, another team from the College of Liberal Arts and Communication also bagged a regional prize in the competition. AB Communication students Dorothy Abejo, Janina Antonio, Rizza Gonzales-Idelfonso, Nicolei Marcelo, Kathleen Vallido, also became one of the Top 12 national finalists. They were awarded 3rd place for the Luzon regionals. The team was coached by Communications and Journalism professor Marco Polo.
PANAnaw, The PANAF Brand Communications Students’ Competition is an annual event of the Philippine Association of National Advertisers Foundation where the country’s top marketing students in the different colleges and universities nationwide are given the chance to conceptualize, design, and present a brand communications plan, that incorporates the different communication theories learned from school into a strategy that is well-worth using for an actual marketing campaign. PANAF recognizes that the most effective and efficient campaign in the past few years are not anymore limited to IMC.
The competition is especially geared towards the professional advancement of young marketing students and serves as a battle arena for future marketing practitioners.
