The KABALIKAT and the Lasallian Community Development Center (LCDC) successfully spearheaded the Damayang Lasalyano Pantry to renkindle the bayanihan spirit that reflects the Lasallian core value of communion in mission to start burning brightly within the Lasallian community.
According to a post by Mr. Lorenzo Centino Jr. of the LCDC, around 48 individuals from the housekeeping and groundskeeping department benefitted from the Damayang Lasalyano Pantry during its first distribution. Also among the beneficiaries were Diars, security guards, MEC-Air, Darlyn staff, ANIMO store staff and selected scholars.
In an organized manner and following the required health protocols, the beneficiaries received the following: 1 kg rice, 4 pcs eggs, 1 pack salt, 1/4 kilo sugar, 2 twin pack 3-in-1 coffee, 2 pcs onions, 2 pcs tomatoes, 2 heads of garlic, soy sauce, vinegar, 1 liter bottled water, 2 pcs of soap; 2 cans of canned goods, and sanitary pads for female recipients.
After the success of the outreach activity, the Lasallian community is being invited to join the initiative by donating through Unionbank under bills payment: DLSU Dasmariñas with the purpose Damayang Lasalyano Pantry.
In-kind donations are also welcome. Among the essentials accepted by the LCDC are toiletries and hygiene products (soap, alcohol, hand sanitizer, disinfecting agents, etc.) and food items (canned goods, rice, sugar, salt, eggs, cooking oil, soy sauce, vinegar, misua, sotanghon, etc.). These can be dropped off at the Guard Station in Gate 1. Perishable goods such as fruits, vegetables, meat, and fish products should be dropped off on the scheduled distribution of blessings.
