The University Health Clinic is enjoining all eligible members of the Lasallian community to get their COVID-19 booster shots from their local government units.
According to the University’s Health Care team, COVID-19 vaccine boosters can further enhance or restore protection that might have decreased over time after the primary series vaccination.
“Individuals are better protected against severe COVID-19 illness when they stay up to date with their COVID-19 vaccines, which includes getting all recommended boosters when eligible,” its message to the community read.
Currently, the Department of Health has recommended the administration of booster shots to adults 18 years and above. It was also approved recently for adolescents 12 to 17 years old.
Employees of DLSU-D and their dependents recently received their COVID-19 booster jabs as part of the VACC to La Salle program of the HRMO in partnership with the local government of Dasmariñas. The next batch will receive their shots on July 22.
