De La Salle University-Dasmariñas recently bestowed the Gawad Puno award on former president Br. Augustine “Gus” Boquer FSC, EdD.
Gawad Puno is the highest distinction given to the University President for demonstrating excellence and loyalty towards a Lasallian education that is loving and caring for those in need, the community, and the environment.
The awarding was attended by University Chaplain Fr. Reinier Dumaop, who led the invocation; University President Br. Francisco “Sockie” de la Rosa VI FSC who delivered the remarks of circumstance; DLSU-D Board of Trustees Chairman Br. Raymundo Suplido FSC who read the BoT resolution; University Student Government President Niña Marie Ligan who led the testimonial; former Vice President for Resource Generation Myrna Ramos, EdD who presented the plaque of recognition, as well as administrators, faculty and staff who worked closely with Br. Gus.
A reception was held at the Br. Andrew Gonzales FSC Reception Hall at the Ayuntamiento Building.
The Cultural Heritage Complex was also renamed Br. Gus Boquer FSC Cultural Heritage Complex in honor of the former President who led the University for 15 years.
