After a lengthy hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the International Students Assembly has finally resumed as an onsite event to welcome foreign students from Asia, Australia, North America, and Europe who are enrolled in DLSU-D this year.
During the assembly, the Linkages and Scholarship Office kicked off the discussion on the programs and services it provides, the renaming of the International Students Association into "Bayanihan", electing new officers, as well as creating a Facebook page to connect all international students of DLSU-D.
Among the activities launched were cultural and historical trips, local language courses, wellness programs, environmental awareness, Lasallian formation, and community engagements. It hopes to connect and attract more foreign students to study at DLSU-D and be part of the growing family of Bayanihan.
In related news, the International Students Office is now under the Office of the Vice President for Global Engagement and External Relations in a bid to align with the University’s commitment to provide better services to its international students and promote global engagement.
