Dr. Emmanuel Calairo was recently elected as the Chairperson of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP).
Calairo, a long-time administrator of De La Salle University-Dasmariñas, has spent his decades-long career advocating for research, education, and preservation of Philippine history and culture. He served as President of the Philippine Historical Association (PHA) from 2014 to 2018 and was previously appointed as commissioner of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP).
Outgoing NHCP Chairperson Dr. Rene R. Escalante administered the oath-taking ceremony of Dr. Calairo last February 24.
