
Museo de La Salle will hold the soft launch of the Center for Heritage Conservation (CHeC) with an inaugural lecture – exhibit from Master Ephraim "Eddie" Jose at 3:00 pm on February 22, 2023, at the Luis Aguado Viewing Room, AEA-IRC.
Jose is a leading expert in conservation, who has published numerous articles in esteemed publications, as well as delivered lectures, workshops, and consultations widely. He founded the Druk Foundation for Art Preservation and the Thangka Conservation Center, Thimphu, and served as Chief Conservator of Asian prints and paintings at the Honolulu Museum from 1990 to 1995. He also specializes in restoring and mounting Asian works on paper and fabric and is at the forefront of Himalayan thangka conservation efforts.
The Center for Heritage Conservation is De La Salle University-Dasmariñas response to the limited facilities in the Philippines that provide services to address a holistic and scientific approach to conservation. The facility seeks to provide an avenue to integrate heritage conservation in education with a dedicated space where experts can convene, interact, and exchange ideas.
