De La Salle University-Dasmariñas recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of the Philippines Los Baños seeking to develop academic and educational cooperation between the two top education institutions.
The academic partnership, which will span two years from the signing of the MoU, covers research collaboration, faculty resources, and other forms of cooperation.
Among potential programs to come out of the partnership agreement is the exchange of faculty and researchers, student exchange, collaborative research and extension projects, lectures, symposia, capacity-building programs, exchange of academic information and materials, as well as promotion of other academic activities.
According to Assistant Vice Chancellor for Research Dr. Johnny Ching, the project was being explored before but it only came to fruition this school year.
“The formalization of the partnership between DLSU-D and UPLB will lead to increased research collaborations, innovation, and knowledge sharing for the faculty and students; we could achieve greater accomplishments and contribute more to national development,” he said.
Chancellor Jose Camacho Jr., Ph.D. signed on behalf of the University of the Philippines Los Baños while University President Br. Francisco de la Rosa VI, FSC, signed on behalf of DLSU-D.
