95.9 Green FM, the official radio community of De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D), is returning to the airwaves after three years of online broadcasting. The station will start airing their shows and programs starting November 6, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, on the 95.9 channel and Facebook Live.
According to 95.9 Green FM Senior Director for Programming and Internal Affairs, Lei Diga, they've combined radio and social media for a hybrid approach to engage listeners on pressing issues and entertainment.
“We've learned to use the strengths of both radio and social media. We aim to create shows that everyone can enjoy," Liga said.
To make their programs more inclusive, 95.9 Green FM has opened opportunities for DLSU-D organizations and offices to participate in the broadcasts. They've partnered with 10 block timers, resulting in 19 shows for listeners.
Sofia Baldonado, Senior Director for Programming and External Affairs, said: "Our goal is to expand our show content, actively engage in social discussions, amplify important issues, and provide entertainment to Filipinos."
The messages from 95.9 Green FM and its partners aim to raise awareness and share information for the benefit of students and society, especially for marginalized communities. This initiative encourages open discussions for the development of the university and society as a whole.
