De La Salle University-Dasmariñas officially held the soft opening of the Maria Salome Llanera Hall (formerly CEAT Building) on August 14, 2025.
The event began with a blessing led by Rev. Fr. Reinier Dumaop, attended by key university administrators, Lasallian Brothers, and student leaders. Among those present were Chief Administrative Officer, Dr. Sonia Gementiza, University Provost, Dr. Christian George Francisco, and Br. President Iñigo Riola FSC, who delivered a heartfelt message of gratitude.
“Ang mensahe ko ngayon ay isang mensahe ng pasasalamat sa lahat ng mga tao at opisina na nanging bahagi ng pagtayo ng ating Maria Salome Llanera Hall,” Br. Riola expressed.
[My message today is one of gratitude to all the people and offices who were part of the construction of our Maria Salome Llanera Hall.]
He also gave special recognition to the construction workers, emphasizing their dedication and hard work in completing the building.
“Pag nakita niyo po ang ating mga construction workers dito sa ating campus batiin po natin sila, pasalamatan po natin sila,” he added.
[When you see our construction workers here on campus, please greet them and thank them.]
The new building features a coffee shop, exhibit/event hall, multipurpose chapel room, fabrication lab, student wellness center, 47 specialized laboratory rooms for Architecture, Engineering, and Multimedia Arts, and 20 lecture rooms.
The opening of the Maria Salome Llanera Hall underscores DLSU-D’s commitment to creating a more conducive and inspiring learning environment for the Lasallian community.
