
Br. President Sockie De la Rosa FSC signed a MOA to formalize the collaboration between the Cavite Development Research Program, Museo de La Salle (MDLS), and the University Research Office.
The signing ceremony included Vice Provost for Research Dr. Johnny Ching, MDLS Director Mary Ann Salvador, and the research team led by Dr. Jan Phillip Mallari, Director of the Cavite Studies Center.
Director Salvador emphasized that the initiative aligns with DLSU-D's Cultural Heritage Foundation Inc.'s mission to support research on Cavite. Br. President De la Rosa expressed enthusiasm for the project, highlighting its importance in showcasing Cavite’s historical significance.
The research team, including Daniel Anciano, Angelo Aguinaldo, and Rosanni Sarile, will explore Cavite’s strategic location, trade importance, religious influence, and evolving structure. Felice Sta. Maria, MDLS Board Trustee, will serve as the project’s evaluator to ensure that the study is culturally relevant and is aligned with MDLS’s vision.
