DLSU-D remains the Philippines’ most sustainable university, placing 112th out of 1,745 institutions worldwide in the UI GreenMetric.
Campus Sustainability Office Director Geraldine Zamora expressed gratitude to the community, noting that the award reflects 13 years of collective commitment to building a greener campus. She also highlighted the university’s ongoing efforts to innovate and address emerging challenges, particularly climate change and long-term sustainability.
DLSU-D’s initiatives span renewable energy, waste reduction, sustainable transportation, water conservation, eco-friendly infrastructure, and the integration of sustainability into teaching and research.
As the first Philippine university to join the UI GreenMetric in 2013, DLSU-D continues to lead environmental advocacy in higher education.
