The Language Learning Center (LLC) continues to strengthen its commitment to set, maintain, and innovate by conducting a faculty development training workshop on artificial intelligence (AI) tools last April 29, 2026.
Titled “Language and Technology: Utilizing AI and Digital Platforms for Teaching,” this two-hour session introduced language teachers to the emerging AI applications that can help enhance classroom instruction and student engagement.
Dr. Hjalmar P. Hernandez, Associate Professor at the UP Los Baños Graduate School, facilitated the interactive workshop. He presented the different AI tools for Speaking and Listening, TOEIC integration strategies, and platforms for designing effective classroom materials. The training was attended by the language specialists of LLC, some faculty from the Languages and Literature Department (LLD), and foreign language teachers, who signed up and actively participated in discussions and hands-on activities.
This event was made possible through the support of Princeton Assessments and Training, Inc., represented by Mr. Ryan Rojales, Training and Partnerships Specialist.
This activity highlights LLC’s mission to equip its language specialists with advanced language teaching practices and prepare them for the ever-changing landscape of digital education.
