De La Salle University-Dasmariñas (DLSU-D) has taken another significant step toward enhancing campus safety with the soft launch of its RFID Turnstile Project, a collaborative initiative of the Center for Digital Transformation and Technology (CDTT), formerly the Information and Communications Technology Center (ICTC), the General Services Office (GSO), and the Office of the University Registrar (OUR).
The RFID turnstile system integrates facial recognition technology to strengthen campus access control by ensuring that only authorized students, personnel, and registered guests are permitted to enter the University. The initiative supports DLSU-D's ongoing commitment to providing a safer, more secure, and technology-driven learning environment for the Lasallian community.
The soft launch serves as an important phase in the University's ongoing implementation of the system, allowing the involved offices to monitor operations, validate processes, and continuously refine the overall user experience before its full-scale deployment.
