
Students from De La Salle University-Dasmarinas’ Senior High School join the best and the brightest as they present their study at the Research Fair 2019 with the theme: "Auxin: Cultivating the Scientific Landscape for Youth Discovery" at the UP Diliman.
The SHS STEM team will be presenting their research entitled: “The effectiveness of stone-based paper as an alternative to single-use plastics in the Philippines” to students and faculty members who will join the event. Among the members of the group are Rhodgie Mar Jasmin, Julianne Tan, Nina Elyssandra Meneque, Bernardino Sisante, Lyconia Manea Leynes, Jan Earl de Vera, Lindsey Aytalin and Leoven Renardy Pineda.
The Research Fair is an annual conference for scientific researches of high school students organized UP ALCHEMES. It is a competition and workshop which recognizes the excellence, creativity and ingenuity of future scientists, as fresh young minds are driven to pursue scientific curiosities.
"Participating in events like the Reserach Fair is part of the SHS thrust to be a research-oriented pre-university high school. Engaging in research is transformative. It teaches our students to be creative, collaborative, innovative, critical and responsive to social issues," SHS Asst. Director Marlon Pareja said as he congratulated members of the SHS delegation.
