The DLSU-D Symphonic Band, formerly DLSU-D Brass Band, is composed of a dynamic group of instrumentalists and band players. Since 1994, the band blows its harmony in various institutional activities and special functions in and off the campus. The members’ instruments have likewise brought esteem and laurels to the university.
History
The band came from the Physical Education Department of this university in 1994 and was then called The La Salle Band. In 1996, the Cultural Arts Office took charge of the band and renamed it as De La Salle University – Dasmariñas Brass Band. In 2009, the band was again renamed as the De La Salle University – Dasmariñas Symphonic Band.

Applicants can inquire at the recruitment booth located at the JFH kubo or visit the Symphonic Band Office located at Gregorio Montoya Hall (GMH 206). Applicants will undergo series of interviews and will be scheduled for an audition to test their skills in music. Qualified applicants will be notified. An orientation will be scheduled regarding the rules and regulation of the group including its nature and composition.
Qualifications:
- Must be a bonafide student of DLSU-D
- Carries a minimum / maximum load requirements as imposed by the institution
- Must have good moral character
- Must know the fundamentals of music
- Experience is required
