ICLLC (International Conference on Language, Literature, and Culture) 2013

The first ICLLC (International Conference on Language, Literature, and Culture) was held on May 3-5, 2012 at De La Salle University-Dasmariñas in the City of Dasmariñas, Cavite, Philippines. It was initiated by the Graduate Studies of the College of Liberal Arts and Communication and co-sponsored by the Alliance of Language and Literature Teachers, a national organization in the Philippines. The conference, with the theme, Emerging Perspectives, Changing Landscapes, brought together graduate students, teachers, and researchers from the Philippines and other countries (Malaysia, China, Korea, Indonesia, Iran, United States). The relatively outstanding paper presentations of local and international authors at the conference inspired the organizers to share the same to experts across the globe in the form of a refereed journal; thus, the International Journal of Language, Literature, and Culture was born. This year’s conference will convene educators and interested individuals in another opportunity to share their insights, practices, and research findings related to the theme, Teaching and Learning in Local and Multicultural Contexts. Participants will also get the chance to know more about Malaysia and its people and enjoy the beautiful sights of Kuala Lumpur and nearby places like the Genting Highlands.
