The Honors Society (HS) is one of the interest clubs of De La Salle University – Dasmariñas which serves its members with keenness, competence and effectiveness in coordination with the Council of Student Organizations (CSO), the mother organization of all student organizations in the university as stated in Section 16.4 of DLSU-D Student Handbook.
HS firmly believes in the moral obligations and responsibilities of all its members to share their skills and talents for the improvement and success of the society and of all activities or endeavors that the society will undertake. In so doing, the efforts will achieve a high standard for its members.
Mission Statement
The HS, being Lasallian in nature, will continue to uphold the Lasallian values of faith, zeal and communion, and will always seek the intercession of St. John Baptist de la Salle.
In our continuing quest for academic excellence in the university, we have formally organized our intellectually gifted students through the formation of Honors Society of De La Salle University – Dasmariñas. Born with the aim to serve the community by increasing the level of learning of our fellow students, the Society, as its maiden project, embarks on a tutorial program with a little counseling. This would help the students in need cope with the pressures of schoolwork. The volunteer-student tutors will handle tutorial sessions on subjects where students have encountered academic difficulty.
Furthermore, we voluntarily organize ourselves in order to foster unity, develop sense of service, and motivate every student towards the attainment of quality education. |
