Whether it’s the holidays or not, being kind is always in fashion. Movies, in particular, are excellent tools to illustrate the impact of compassion to others.

If you want to binge on some heartwarming and touching films during your free time, you may want to check out these memorable movies.

Pay it Forward

 This film is a heartwarming tale of a young boy who comes up with the idea of performing random acts of kindness for others and asking them to pass it forward until a chain of kindness is created. Not only does this boy change the life of those around him but he inspires an entire community to be kind to one another. Be warned through that you would need a towel by the end of the movie. Tissues and hankies won’t cut it.

 A well-off Texas family connects with Mike Oher, a teen from a troubled family. Adopting him as part of their family, they help him maximize his potentials to reach his dream of playing for a professional football team. What makes this film more inspiring is that its based on a real story.

Families are not always perfect and the Hoover family is the very definition of dysfunctional. No matter how rowdy or crazy this family gets however, they come together to support Olive’s dream to win The Little Miss Sunshine contest. They even go on a cross country road trip to achieve the mission. Shenanigans ensue.

 Kids can be pretty mean at times especially about things they do not understand. Auggie is a boy born with a rare medical condition called mandibulofacial dysostosis. Because of his facial deformity, he is ostracized and bullied in school. Auggie however, forms several friendships, but not without its own troubles. As Auggie tries to find his place in the world, his journey will inspire you to treat others with kindness and respect.
