De La Salle University-Dasmarinas’ Junior High School Department recently celebrated the accomplishments of its student achievers who excelled in different off-campus math competitions.

Among the top students who received the bronze medal in the recently concluded International Kangaroo Mathematics Competition was Hazel Carla Z. Reyes. The competition was organized by the Association Kangourou Sans Frontieres (AKSF) a transnational education group based in Paris.

Jay Gabriel B. Larga also won the bronze medal at the International Teenagers Mathematics Olympiad’s National Parallel Competition. He also bagged the second place in the Southeast Asian Mathematical Olympiad, a competition that focuses on problem solving and challenging the skills of students in analysis and application of mathematical formulas. Maxwell Trixam C. Legaspi II and Marc Russel C. Arcedera bagged bronze medals for the same competition.

Math wizards Danielle B. Halili and Maxwell Trixam C. Legaspi II landed silver medals for the school in the International Mathematics Wizard Challenge in Jakarta, Indonesia. The IMWiC is composed of institutions, associations and individuals that are committed to promote mathematics excellence around the world through mathematics competition.

Lasallian High-schoolers also brought the school honor at the recently concluded MTAP competition jointly sponsored by the Metrobank Foundation and the Department of Education.
