Museo de La Salle will kick off the “Paniniwala” Art Exhibition on February 9 at the Kalaw Katigbak Gallery of MDLS as part of the celebration of National Arts Month.
“Paniniwala” will feature the works of alumni from Linangan Artists Residency, a program that trains young artists from all over the country through three main objectives: capacity building, concept development, and community engagement.
“Paniniwala” will showcase how each artist, coming from different cultures and backgrounds, illustrate their faith and subscribe to organized religion from varying aspects ranging from the intimate, the cathartic, transformative, to the satirical.
“Sharing their unique experiences in this exhibition, the artists invite viewers to ponder the beliefs they treasure or take for granted. Rather than presenting prescriptions, the works encourage us to ask our own questions," the program described.
“Paniniwala” will run until the end of April at the MDLS. Meanwhile, visitors can also check out the "Pandemic at iba pang nagharing leksikon na mula sa Covid-ictionary" exhibition of Christian George Francisco and Mark Sherwin Maestro at Fe Sarmiento-Panlilio Gallery until the end of February 2023.
