De La Salle University-Dasmarinas has reinforced its commitment to sustainability when it signed the declaration of the First Symposium for Schools to Adopt the Zero Waste Lifestyle (ATZWL). The pact was signed by schools who seek to empower their communities to reduce, reuse, recycle waste through wiser use of resources, segregation of biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste, and recycling of these materials to reduce carbon footprints that contribute to climate change. Among DLSU-D’s partners in commitment are University of Perpetual Help System DALTA, Centro Escolar University Las Piñas, Lourdes School of Quezon City, Precious Gem Academy, San Beda College Alabang and STI College. DLSU-D was represented by Ms. Jocelyn Luyon of the University’s Campus Sustainability Office.
