For the month of October, which is known as the month of the Holy Rosary and the month of Missions, DLSU-D will continue its Marian journey with Balik Handog sa Mahal na Ina, spearheaded by the Campus Ministry Office and Office of the University Chaplain.
The Office of the Student Services cluster headed by its Dean, Arch. Antonio Gutierrez, sponsored the very first Balik Handog sa Mahal na Ina at the DLSU-D University Chapel. The activity started with the praying of the Holy Rosary, followed by the celebration of the Holy Eucharist presided by the university chaplain, Rev. Fr. Mark Anthony Reyes.
The Balik Handog sa Mahal na Ina will continue until October 30, 2019. This program aims to lead the Lasallian community in appreciating the role of the Blessed Virgin Mary as mother and intercessor.
After the success of Lakbay Maria 2019 , the CMO and University Chaplain is enjoining the DLSU--D community to show their gratitude to God for the graces and blessings they have received through the Blessed Virgin Mary's intercession by offering to God the gift of who they are and what they have.
The different pastoral clusters and sectors are assigned to lead and pray the Holy Rosary and at the same time, offer gifts for the poor and needy during the daily Eucharistic celebration. In response to all the gifts and graces God has bestowed through the Blessed Virgin Mary's help and prayers, the community is challenged to share His goodness and love to those most in need.
Balik Handog sa Mahal na Ina also aims to enable each member of the DLSU-D community to become missionaries of prayer, kindness, and compassion, following the footsteps of our Blessed Mother.
