De La Salle University-Dasmariñas joins the celebration of Laudato Si’ Week from May 21 to 28 in time for the eighth anniversary of Pope Francis' encyclical.
Laudato Si’ Week began as a way to celebrate the first anniversary of Pope Francis’ papal encyclical letter, “Laudato Si’: On Care For Our Common Home.” Since then, the annual celebration has become a way for all Catholics to unite and rejoice in the progress we’ve made in bringing Laudato Si’ to life and to commit ourselves to further prayer and action for our common home.
This year's celebration with the theme: "Hope for the Earth. Hope for Humanity" seeks to inspire the faithful to learn about the different practical ways they can contribute to the advocacy of caring for the planet, caring of one's fellowmen, and all of the inhabitants of the world we live in.
"As the most sustainable Philippine university, let us join in celebrating life and the beauty of creation through the Laudato Si Week," the Campus Ministry Office enjoined the Lasallian community.
