The De La Salle University – Dasmarinas (DLSU-D) Center for Heritage Conservation and Escuela Taller de Filipinas Foundation, Inc. will hold “SALIN: Lecture on Heritage Conservation” for selected DLSU-D students and faculty members on May 17, 2023 from 1 to 4 pm at the Tanghalang Julian Felipe.
SALIN, a Filipino word which means “to transfer,” is a lecture program that seeks to impart to various audiences the fundamental and important concepts to heritage conservation that are relevant to the Philippine setting.
By presenting established conservation principles through Escuela Taller’s learning-by-doing projects and other programs, SALIN aims to promote more awareness among Filipinos so that they may become more involved in caring for the many heritage assets of the country.
This leg of the SALIN will focus on the conservation framework developed by Escuela Taller, disaster risk reduction and management for heritage places, and preventive maintenance of heritage sites.
This event is a project of the Office of the President in partnership with the Museo de La Salle, the Architecture Department, Communication and Journalism Department, Tourism Management Department, and Aklatang Emilio Aguinaldo – Information Resource Center.
