Marione Alia Fauni, a graduating BS in Accountancy student, represented DLSU-D at the 11th Asian Youth Leaders Travel and Learning Camp (AYLTLC) held in Singapore.
During the event, Fauni was recognized as an Outstanding Youth Leader. She also received the Best Content Presentation award for her presentation on innovative solutions to various issues faced by Asian countries. The award ceremony took place at the conclusion of the event on February 19 at the National University of Singapore.
AYLTLC is an annual gathering of young Asian leaders since 2012. This year's event was attended by about two hundred Asian youth leaders.
The camp provided a platform for personal growth, cultural immersion, and meaningful connections. The engaging learning sessions addressed current issues, while discussions provoked new viewpoints.
The student delegates visited the New Water Visitor Centre, China Town, Ann Siang Hill, Urban Redevelopment University, and Marina Bay Sands to gain knowledge of Singapore's efforts to be eco-friendly and all-embracing, as well as its culture and heritage. Alternatively, presentations about innovative solutions to various issues encouraged collaborative achievements with others.
According to Fauni, AYLTLC instilled in her a strong sense of community that resulted in friendships, built networks, and shared visions on how they can help realize a brighter Asia.
