The University Research Office held successful back-to-back events to kick off the school year with the presentation of the Noemi Usis Professorial Chair Lecture and the DLSU-D and DLSMHSI Research Summit at the Ayuntamiento de Gonzalez Building.
The Noemi Usis Professorial Chair Lecture was delivered by Dr. Olivia Legaspi on “Creating Possibilities: How De La Salle University-Dasmarinas Made Students' Success Possible Through the Scholarship Program.” The study, which was done by Dr. Lagaspi with Dr. Alrien Dausan and Cristina Padilla, explored how scholarships changed thge lives of the recipients and played a role in their success after graduation.
Meanwhile, researchers from DLSU-D and De La Salle Medical Health and Science Institute explored possible opportunities to collaborate by pitching potential research topics to spur innovation and invention.
At the end of summit, 11 potential research topics were developed after the participants from DLSU-D and DLSMHSI brainstormed potential approaches and combined ideas for the practical use of pitches presented during the program.
